Are you ready to replace lost or missing teeth? At Serenity Dental in North Spokane, dental implants are permanent replacement teeth surgically implanted into the jawbone for renewed, long-lasting smiles. Implants are the most natural-looking, longest-lasting tooth replacement option available today. Our team crafts our dental implant materials in-house and uses the latest guided implant placement technology to provide unmatched precision for your implant procedure.
Our Spokane patients can expect their dental implants to last a lifetime with good oral hygiene and regular checkups with Dr. David Welton and his team!
What are Dental Implants?
Dental implants are small titanium post that replaces the missing tooth and its root. Because titanium is biocompatible, the surrounding jaw bone tissue can eventually fuse to the dental implant through a process known as osseointegration, creating a stable, durable anchor for an artificial tooth. An abutment is then attached to the implant, creating space for a tooth replacement to become attached, replacing the visible portion of the tooth above the gum line for a fully restored smile and natural-looking new tooth!
For most patients, a temporary dental crown is placed onto the abutment while the gums heal from the surgery while the permanent dental crown is fabricated. Once the dental implant healing process is complete, the temporary crown will be removed and the custom-made permanent dental crown will be attached. Each restoration is crafted to perfectly fit your smile, including the color and appearance of your natural surrounding teeth.
What Dental Implants are Available?
Serenity Dental is proud to offer top dental implant services in north Spokane, WA and beyond, including:
Endosteal Dental Implants
An endosteal implant is a type of dental implant surgically implanted into the jawbone to function as the replacement tooth's root. Once integrated with the jawbone, the implant is an anchor for artificial teeth attached to it.
Subperiosteal Dental Implants
Subperiosteal implants are custom crafted to fit a patient with missing teeth through minor surgery. These implants are placed on top of the jawbone, with the metal posts of the implants protruding through the gums. Subperiosteal implants can be used if the patient lacks the bone density to support an endosteal implant.
At Serenity Dental, we also offer All-on-4 implants, sometimes called "teeth in a day," along with mini dental implants and implant-retained dentures. At your consultation, your implant dentist will provide all the guidance you need to choose the right tooth replacement system for you!
What are the Benefits of Dental Implants?
Implants look and function just like natural teeth. They are permanent, so you don’t have to worry about them slipping out of place or falling out at inconvenient times the way dentures can. You can chew and speak just as you would with your natural teeth. And because the attached crowns are made of porcelain, the implant restorations won’t stain or change color as easily as does natural teeth.
Dental implants are the only tooth replacement option that prevents further bone deterioration by continuing to stimulate the jawbone. When a tooth is lost, the supporting bone and tissue will deteriorate. As the bone shrinks away, it can affect physical appearance and shift facial structure. Implants are an excellent long-term solution for not just your smile, but your complete oral health and total-body wellness.
How Much Do Dental Implants Cost?
Your total out-of-pocket implant costs will vary, depending on the amount of implants required, implant system selected, and your dental insurance coverage. Fortunately, Serenity Dental is in-network with a long list of top dental insurance providers, and offers a selection of financing options for your dental treatments. Our friendly office team will help you determine the best financing route for your replacement teeth!
